Thailand Travel By Motorbike-taxi

The motorbike taxis is not recommended for first time visitors. However, it's unusual to see some expatriates on back of the bike. If you are desperately in a hurry for an important meeting or catching a plane or a train but getting trapped into a motionless trail of traffic, here are the tips of how to be on a bike.

  • You can find the service almost at every corner of Bangkok, mostly in front of business buildings, bus or sky-train stations or shopping malls.
  • The fare rates vary to the distance of the trip and are negotiable.
  • Ask for a helmet from the driver (helmet was mandatory when taking a ride.)
  • Passengers might cover their heads or hairs with a handkerchief to avoid getting some arduous odor from the helmet before wearing it.
